Hi there!
My name is Finn (he/they) and since June I may call myself the president of the 69th board of B.V.W. Biologica! (nice). Before this I have already done half a year of Secretary work and I’m very glad to be able to be in this fun board for another term. My tasks are quite different, I now lead the weekly boardmeetings and the coming General Member Meetings. I also try to keep the overview of everything happing in and around the association, which is more than you might expect.
In my seccie intro talk I have indicated not to be good at choices, and though I am getting better, I must admit I switched specialisation. I am now doing specialisation B, as second year- but soon third year- Biology student. I am also a part of the MeeCie and IntegraCie, which are amazing committees. However, the BIKcie will always have a special place in my heart.
Outside of Biologica I love going outside, to a survival- or climbing training when I can, but also to go for a scroll or skate on rollerblades through the forest. To hang out with friends at the Rhine or go for a swim (once I took the time to get over the cold) is also a part of that. When I take a moment rest I love to read a good book or watch a series. Though, I often catch myself being tempted to call someone up for a coffee to chat each other’s ears off.
So definitely do come by the Hok with all your questions, or for a chat about Biologica, decision stress or just life, and I’ll gladly have a coffee with you!

Hi all!
I am Eden (they/them), the new secretary of the 69th board! This means that I will sort out all emails and respond to them, make the minutes for meetings we have and keep up with the member data base of both Biologica and Minoa (our sub association!).
I am a first-year marine scientist (whohooo) and with that the first marine scientist in the Biologica board. I became an active Biologica member through the FilmCie, DeepCie and the BIKcie (the best committee!! although I love all of them) and hope to join some different committees next year.
Whenever I have a moment to myself I enjoy doing lots of different things. I tend to pick up new random things to learn almost every week. These include (but are not limited to ;) ) skateboarding, playing guitar, juggling, annoying my friends about “Bears in Trees” and making lots of different things ranging from crochet to drawing to bracelets.
Whenever you want to chat to someone or ask a question, come by the Hok and you’ll most probably find me or another board member there! Hopefully see you soon.

Treasurer
Tom Breet
Hello all,
My name is Tom (he/him) and I started on the board as treasurer in December. If you submit a declaration, I will ensure that the money ends up back with you. Of course, I also have other tasks, but I won't bore you with them.
I became active at Biologica by joining the BIKcie, after being treasurer of BITE for a while, I am now a member of the ScriptCie and the AlmanakCie. Of course, I am still busy studying every now and then. I am in my second year of the Bachelor's degree in Biology with a specialization in ecology.
Of course, specialization D also means that I like to go into nature (yes, I am a biologist after all...) where I like to take photos, identify mushrooms or ants, or just have a nice walk. At the time of writing, the uiterwaarden are really at their best, so I definitely recommend taking a look there!
You can regularly find me in the hok, so come by for a chat!

Commissioner of Committees
Ilse Langeslag
Hii everyone,
I’m Ilse (she/her) and since June 3rd I am the Commissioner of Committees, otherwise known as the ComCommer, where I’m busy with everything that has to do with committees, from making sure the committees run smoothly to organizing the yearly committee competition.
I’m in my second year of my Biology bachelor, where I chose Adaptation and Development as a major, although I also really like ecology and being outside in the nature of Wageningen. Next to board stuff and studying I spend a lot of time doing committees in Biologica. Right now I’m in the BAC, where I’m the secretary, the IntrodukCie where I’m busy with the AID and the PromoCie, where I love to be creative with designs for Biologica merch or designing the Minoa logo for example. But my love for committees actually started at my very first committee, the BIKCie where I got to know Biologica and made some very good friends!
Besides in the Hok you can also often find me on the volleyball court at WaHo (or in the sportspub), which is funny because, even though I don’t like to say it, I’m definitely the smallest on our board. When taking a break I love some friendly competition of ping pong in the Spot. Furthermore, I also love hanging out with my friends, and especially with great weather having a potluck at the Rijn and playing (and winning ;)) lots of cardgames.

Commissioner of Education
Mila Koekoek
Hello everyone!
I am Mila (she/her), the new commissioner of Education of the 69th board! That means I deal with all the study-related things that happen in our beautiful biology and marine science studies. Among other things, I go to meetings with the Program Committee, I organize meetings with the other commissioners of education of the WUR, I go to meetings with other commissioners of education for biology in the Netherlands and I provide self-study rooms in the self-study weeks.
I became active within Biologica trough the MeeCie, which I am the president of. I make sure that secondary school students get a good idea of our study programme and Wageningen, and of course that they have a fun day! I am also a member of the OuderdagCie 2024, IntergraCie and recently I joined the EducaCie. Next to this all I am a second- (soon to be third-) year biologist with specialization B, Development & Adaptation. Also, I like to read, draw and run (even though I won’t come far yet).

Famke Jurriëns
Heyy, my name is Famke Jurriëns (she/her) and I am the Commissioner of External relations of the 69th board of b.v.w. Biologica. I am an upcoming third-year biology student specializing in "Adaptation and Development," with a strong interest in evolutionary biology and paleontology.
I have been active with Biologica since the end of my first year. During this time, I joined the ArtCie, where I quickly became president. At the beginning of my second year, I joined the BAC, which introduced me to a lot of people on our board. Together with some of my good friends, I also founded BoCo Santé, where I am currently the president. I am very proud of how we have shaped the committee, and I hope we can continue organizing “borrels” for Biologica for a long time to come.
As the Commissioner of External Relations, I am responsible for our association’s external relationships. My goal is to maintain and strengthen our current partnerships. I will focus on regularly keeping in touch with our sponsors to ensure that both parties have a clear understanding of the expectations and obligations within our contracts. I will also still focus on obtaining new sponsorships, but since we already have quite some sponsorships this will not be my main focus during my board year.
I am really looking forward to my board year and am grateful to be part of it with my fellow board members.
You all are amazing, and I am sure we will have a fantastic board year together.

Vera van Mulligen
Hi there!
I’m Vera (she/her) and I continue my job as Commissioner of Public Relations this board term. This function means I send out all the promotion of our activities to our members, I am responsible for the Master and Bachelor ceremonies and I update this beautiful Instagram-page (if you know a fun biology fact, DM me ;) ). Since this board term I am also the vice president, so if anything goes wrong with Finn, I should step in (let’s hope that doesn’t happen).
Apart fom my board function, I am also part of several committees; the MeeCie, ScriptCie, ArtCie, IntrodukCie and of course the best committee of them all: the BOA!
Next to Biologica I somehow also have a life. This consists of looking a lot under the microscope with my specialization ‘’Cell biology and molecular interactions’’, reading, cuddling with cats, playing board games, meeting up with friends and having the occasional beer or two.
Als je ooit zin hebt om te gaan wandelen, je hart te luchten over hoe warm het buiten is of iemand een shitty dad joke te vertellen, aarzel dan niet om me in het Hok te bezoeken!
