What is 'Biologica'?

Vanaf 16 augustus brandt de AID los, nieuwe mensen, activiteiten, feestjes en verenigingen. Ook wij, studievereniging B.V.W. Biologica, zijn tijdens de AID veel te vinden. Wil je meer over ons te weten komen? Kom ons opzoeken tijdens de AID! Hier rechts zie je waar we allemaal te vinden zijn. Tot die tijd kun je hier al een kleine introduktie vinden.

What is 'Biologica'?

Biologica is the study association for the studies of Biology and Marine Sciences. A study association is specifically set up for people that follow these studies. Because of this shared interest, there is space for study-related activities, but of course there is also more than enough room for drinks, parties and other carefree activities. The entire association is organised for and by students. For some this means they both organise and come to activities and events, others just join for the parties and some prefer to only be active behind the scenes. There are even quite some members just here for the discount on study books. Nothing is mandatory and everything is possible!

So how does that work?

Everything is being organised by our committees. At the moment, we have more than 20 active committees that all organise different activities. For example, the BAC een aantal jaarlijkse activiteiten zoals de kampvuurborrel en de biercantus. Terwijl de BOA is focussed more on biology-related activities like a nature weekend and guest lectures. The Marine sciences activities are organised by the DeepCie, think of things such as a surfing weekend or and excursion to NIOZ. Everyone can become a member of one of the excisting committees and every good idea can become a whole new activity or even a new committee!
